Nothing I do seems to work for LSL 2006 Collectoin

I recently installed the LSL 2006 Collection on my PC, and I've tried everything to get it to work, but it won't! 
I scoured the Internet all night last night. I've tried D-Fend Reloaded, SCUMMVm, DOSBox .74, you name it. I really have no idea what to do! Either this is a defective copy, or these games just won't work on my PC. I tried using the DOSBox patch installer from Sierra Help, but whenever I try to select a folder and press "next", it tells me "The Leisure Suit Larry Collection is not in this folder", even though the folder name itself SAYS "Leisure Suit Larry Collection (TM)"! The hell is going on here?! Is anyone else getting this problem? Does anyone have any tips before I ship it back to the seller and/or perhaps get a new replacement copy?
