And to quote Lando (from Star Wars) since some of you know me from Tawmis.com - "It's not my fault! It's not my fault!"

Though JWise may think it was all a part of some plan for me to grab the #2 spot...

Tawmis, is there some sort of Forum-Meltdown-Aura you possess?

I'm glad to see it wasn't serious.

This time it was my fault. I had deleted an EMPTY folder on the server and it took down the database. We had to rebuild it from scratch.

That sounds horrible. I've certainly experienced problems with forums doing very strange things - in fact, one problem I've found just recently is that the GK campaign forum version is several versions old, and I know absolutely beyond doubt that I'd updated it to the latest version a few months ago.

The only explanation I have is that somehow, for some bizarre reason, when the site was moved to a different server, the backup database information for the forum was from before the update. Oh what fun - I'll be spending time on Friday (I hope) re-doing the update and re-applying latest update of Categories Hierarchy.

Since it is mostly not set up, you could just delete it and start from scratch.

Yes, I could... but I would hate to have to ask the members to re-join.

Oh well. It's really not a huge problem - I will simply do the update and I won't even grit my teeth. (The major problem is time. I'm so inundated with things I need to do, especially after having had so much illness putting me behind with everything, that time is a high-demand item for me.)

Looks away, whistling innocently...
