For a moment I had been in the blind hope there was an update of any sort. :(

Same here....!

A question - when Janes new game Gray Matter comes out, can we talk about it here or does that belong under Non-Sierra Games?

No, She probably has her hands full with Gray Matter. I just thought that it would be nice to add Sierra developer links to the forums.

There's hardly strict rules here - but I'd imagine if you're starting a convo ABOUT Gray Matter - it'd go to the Non Sierra games. However, if something in a GK thread evolved into Grey Matter discussions - it'd be fine here and probably won't get moved.

Can't have that! With no doctor on the forums - I'd have to play doctor!

On second thought...

Since we are discussing official Jane's website (which is pretty much dead), I figure that I may also point at her new blog entry about Gray Matter:

I like the concept art already. The rest of it sounds like a knock-off of other horror movies I've seen, but this is Jane Jenson. There's no way this can't rock.

Anyone able to translate?

Was Sam an diesem Weihnachtsabend in der Ewigen Stadt erlebt, schildert Jane Jensen in ihrer Kurzgeschichte. Sie macht Sams Stolz und Enttäuschung direkt erlebbar – eine der großen Stärken von Jensens Erzählkunst, die auch Gray Matter auszeichnen wird.
Lesen könnt ihr „Twas the Night Before“ in Jane Jensen‘s Blog.
Zusätzlich könnt auch ihr euren Lieben zum Fest eine besondere Freude machen: Verschickt einfach die Gray Matter-Weihnachtskarte.

From the little German I understand, it's simply a presentation/synopsis (very brief) of Jane's short story about Gray Matter, which can be downloaded from here, and some general talk about the game. ;)

The web translators usually give laughable results, but where is what Google gave:
Premium Christmas gift you Jane Jensen, a short story from the universe of 2009 appears Adventures Gray Matter. 'Twas the Night Before, "says the title is time before the events of Gray Matter located.

Sam has left everything behind, as street artists around the world to travel. Several times a day she amazed passersby on the Spanish Steps in Rome with her magic tricks. But while she enjoys other, is itself alone. It belongs to those people who are without a Christmas tree, candles and family need.

What Sam on this Christmas Eve in the Eternal city of experiencing portrays Jane Jensen in their short history. It makes Sam's pride and disappointment experienced directly - one of the great strengths of Jensen's narrative art, which also Gray Matter will excel.
You can read 'Twas the Night Before "in Jane Jensen's blog.
In addition it can also feast your loved ones for a particular pleasure: Just Sent Gray Matter-Christmas card.

My translation:
Especially for Christmas, Jane Jensen gives the gift of a short story from the universe of the forthcoming 2009 adventure Gray Matter. “’Twas the Night Before”, as the title suggests, is set in the period before the story of Gray Matter begins.

Sam has left everything behind her to travel through the world as a street entertainer. Several times a day she would stun passers-by with her magic tricks as she performs on the Spanish Steps in Rome. But although she gives pleasure to others, she herself is alone. She belongs to that group of people who must experience Christmas without the traditional Christmas Tree, Christmas candles or family.

What Sam experiences on this Christmas Eve in the Eternal City is related by Jane Jensen in her short story. She makes the reader experience Sam’s pride and disappointment as though living through it oneself – one of the great strengths of Jensen’s narrative art, which will also enrich Gray Matter.

You can read “’Twas the Night Before” in Jane Jensen’s blog.

In addition, this Season you can also give your loved ones a rare pleasure: simply send them a Gray Matter Christmas card.

Looks like cyber squatters got her domain.
