Collector,
I downloaded your 64 bit installer, but the game wont play, it asks for the cd, I insert the cd, and it still wont work. I didn't think you needed the cd is you use the installer. Ideas?

Going to see if I can answer - or at least help with this one - if you used Collector's installer - there should be a Diagnostic Program that came with it - launch that - and then copy and paste it in this thread.
If there isn't a diagnostic program with his installer for this one - I will shut up.
Also which QFG game is it? Or is it one of the collections?

Which installer? All of the installers here are 64-bit compatible and will setup most of the CD games to not require the CD after it is installed, but require the original discs to install them. The only full games available here for download are a couple of freeware games like Mystery House and Adventure.

oops... Quest for Glory V - Dragon Fire is the game in question... I used the original CDs, and it seemed to install properly. When I try to play, it asks for the game disk, which i put into the drive, and it still doesn't work.

Turn off Compatibility Mode.

Compatibility mode is off, still asking for CD. I tried to read the "QfG5-mini_iso.txt", but got an error that the file could not be found. I looked, and there is no "iso" folder. that could be the problem. Is the installer supposed to create this folder, and/or can I create it and add an .iso of the game disk?

Uninstall it and reinstall into an empty folder.

I reinstalled with a different set of CDs, (from a friend of mine) and it is working, I guess my disks are corrupted some how.
Thanks...
