I was sorry to see vintage-sierra.com go offline - it's been offline for some time now.
Did anyone hear why the site closed?

You know what irks me about it going offline - there was a point where it was offline for like 2 weeks - and when it came back online, I offered to host it off of one of my own personal sites, at no cost to them, because it had so much content on there. They declined the offer.
Now it's completely offline, has been so for like a few months at this point. Such a loss of good information.

It is sad that it is gone. It was a wonderful site, a great resource, and a part of Sierra's legacy in the fan community.
By the way, I've contacted some fan sites that I personally like - for example, some sites that were on Geocities - and asked them if they would give me a backup copy of their site for safekeeping. In the event that their site goes down, or they can no longer host it, I offered to host it for them. I've had a couple sites that I contacted respond positively, which has been very nice to be able to preserve the content on those sites.
If any Sierra fansite wishes to provide me with a backup copy of their site for safekeeping in the unforseeable event that something happens to the site or to your hard drive in the future, I will gladly preserve it and host it if it should ever go down.
Oh - for those who don't know me - I'm Brandon Klassen.

Welcome to SHP, Brandon. Many of the Sierra sites have sadly disappeared and many of the remaining ones have become rather inactive or completely dormant. It is these that I assume that you wish salvage for safe keeping. Outside of some of the fan made remake sites, SHP is just about the most active. Rudy took down his forums on Sierra Chest, but he is actively adding new content to the main site. At least Andy was able to put the content of his old site on Ken's SierraGames.

A buddy and I are working on getting a new site up and running:
http://youcantbesrsly.com/
It will be a daily added content site, he will have a lot of rant and review stuff. My side will be a lot of posts relating to my Vintage Game Collection and crazy adventures I have gone on to get new games. We are also working with a production studio to start doing HD "un-boxing" videos from my collection.
Basically we will pick a game from my stuff, open it and discuss everything inside along with including factoids about the game and items inside. In addition to that we will have discussions on the game as he is not a vintage PC game fan and I am die hard so im sure funny banter and arguments will ensue.
The site is in the pre-pre-pre stages so ignore some of the layout changes and what not but check back often and comment often (PLEASE
)

I haven't been working on SierraInteraction lately due to some RL stuff going on that has taken up a good portion of my free time. But it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
