King's QuestIII-Bandit glitch or what?

Okay, I got this game from gog. I have restarted so many times it is not funny. I am around the 26-27 minute time range, I have every item but what needs to be bought at the store, but for whatever reason, that darn bandit will not go to sleep. I have restored it 15 time in a row and I still get bonked out of the tree. I started over for the numerous times, even followed the walk through up to that point and once again, the stupid bandit is still awake. No matter how many time I restore/reenter that house, he is never asleep. is this a glitch? so frustrated.

Nevermind..I got it after posting this after restoring the game I kept trying last night, but did not have enough time to buy the ingredients at the store and make it back up the mountain before the wizzard came back. caught me just outside my door. That darn path up the mountain takes to long! LOL is there only a certain time in the game you can access this house?

You have to go back down the ladder and back up and type "look in treehouse". The message will tell you if it's safe to go in or not. If not you have to climb down the ladder and back up and repeat until you can. You can't just restore and try again because if you saved next to the doorway after already climbing the tree he will never be asleep.

thanks, i figured it out. I was going by what your walkthough was saying, restore. I found another walkthrough to get me unstuck and it pretty much said what you did. I found not to follow the walkthrough on this site when I get stuck now because it is incorrect! LOL thanks anyway!

I would. But there'd be too much focus on killing Manhanan or whatever his name is. I _hated_ him.
