lucky you, i can't afford a 360. We have a family Wii (the wife got that one, I dont get to use it that often). The newest console I personally have is my Dreamcast! $20 used! :)

If you have the Dreamcast, I highly recommend RUSH 2099. Stunt track is amazing fun. I still play it.

The Dreamcast was a short-lived, but amazing console; it had a lot of potential.

Anyway, my gamertag is "HarroSlN" (with a lowercase "L" because 'HarroSIN' was already reserved for my XBOX 1 gamertag). I haven't been online with any consoles in a while, though.

My original XBOXLive name (for the original XBOX) was "Tawmis" (surprise, right?) - but they fubared and couldn't import it over - so while I was talking to tech support the guy kept calling me "Sir Tawmis" - so I ended up saying, "Just make that my XBL name." So it's "Sir Tawmis" Look me up! :D

It did, indeed. The Dreamcast was ahead of it's time. It offered a modem, VGA adapter, microphone, digital camera, among other unique items. It was the first console to include online gaming.

Unfortunately, Sega had screwed over their customer base one too many times at that point. Many felt burned from the Sega CD, 32X and Sega Saturn. When Sega released the Dreamcast, gamers were apprehensive about purchasing it. Most went with either the Sony Playstation 2, Nintendo Gamecube or Microsoft's Xbox instead.

As a side note, the PS1 was originally going to be a CD-ROM accessory for the SNES. When Nintendo realized that the SNES-CD format would be primarily under Sony's control, they backed out. Sony then decided to enter the console market itself and completely redesigned its product to become the Playstation.
