Argh. This story breaks my heart.

Post by Tawmis »

Yeah, I know thousands of people died... I get that. But for those that did survive, they're able to do something... they're smart enough to go to a shelter, get food, etc... but these dogs... it's sad, and yet amazing... I just wish I knew if they were indeed rescued or not.

It's hard to imagine. *sniffle* I hope they were indeed rescued.

Tawm, have a look at the transcript - I think the person speaking was trying to ascertain whether the second dog was alive or not, and I could hear a helicopter in the background. I hope they got a vet to rescue and treat the dogs.

Just got this on the dog list at work:

Thank goodness for this video. This morning channel 8 featured a story on these two dogs and reported that they were both now receiving medical attention but it isn’t known if their families survived.

Thank goodness there's some bright spark in this terrible tragedy, then. :)
