Nice. I don't recall what you had before, so I am not sure what all you did to upgrade it. I am assuming changing the play over to flash is one thing. You can use my recording from my MT-32 if you want.

One slight correction. The MT-32 was an outboard unit, not a card. It was a box about 12"x9"x2" (about 30.5x 23x5 cm) that was connected to the sound card's MIDI ports.

The only thing that was there previously was the video walkthrough, box art and credits. Everything else is new. Still have to add more music though. Think I will indeed add those MT-32 recordings as well :).

Now I'll start upgrading KQ5, which also needs a LOT of additional stuff. What comes after that is being voted on by the fans on the Chest's FB page. Heavy voting battle between KQ6, LB1 and SQ3 going on there, lol. Feel free to vote also.

I still have my MT-32 that I bought when KQ4 came out. I was 15. Still runs great on my computer. Easy to setup to work on XP and Win7. I wonder, in average, how many people that play the old SCI games have an MT-32? I think anyone who loves & still play those games should try to invest in getting one. Esp for the older ones like KQ4, SQ3, Colonel's Bequest, etc. The difference in sound is just amazing.

Interesting stuff :) I personally didn't have any issues setting up the MT-32 like that one guy was having. I bought a Yamaha MIDI to USB cable. Connected it to the MT-32. Then just did the general config to get DOSBox to use it. Using different configs depending if it was XP or Win7. All games that support MT-32 run just fine for me.

Does anybody know if there was ever a KQ5 trailer? Looking for it to insert in the site.

I don't believe so. I have never even heard of a demo for the game. You could just capture the intro.

King's Quest VI fully upgraded in the Chest! :)

With this game, I actually tried something entirely new, and I'm happily surprised with how it turned out. You know how the intro song of KQ6 is always chopped short on multiple places due to the scenes not allowing the music sections to fully play out? Well... no more :)! By recording, editing and gluing together over a dozen music sections from the KQ6 resource files, I managed to create a complete remastered intro song. It's the nearly 9 minutes long and it's the one you'll hear when enter the page. Hope you like it.
