Tawnis was curious if there was a truetype font that looked like the writing from Quest for Glory. I couldn't find one but found a nifty flash site that lets you create fonts and save them to your computer. so i made one ...
http://www.filedropper.com/gloryquest
After that I decided to make two more, one based from KQ4's writing and the other from PQ3.

They are very small at your normal 8, 9 or 10pt, you have to crank it up into high teens or low 20 point to really see them well. But for a cheap web app creation, not too shabby.

Nice!
You know what would be sweet is a font in the style of the King's Quest logo from KQ5-KQ7.

Thanks! (i even put the sierra moon as the TM symbol in the KQ one, i forgot on the others ... thought TM was a fitting place for it since that's what it is!!)
I'm assuming you mean the box covers (i dont think they all used the same "logo" screens) ... that's certainly WAY beyond me ... that requires talent!
but maybe it's an existing typeface they just used ... if only someone knew someone from the Sierra Art Dept!

geez, and i live less than an hour away from the place too! (total regret on my behalf as well, i could have gotten a tour of the original Sierra HQ when I was a kid and never did it ...)
half dome logo is what I should have said. I need to go to bed.

LOL, that's OK. I've been functioning all day on just 3 hours of sleep last night. Insomnia, the curse of the sleeping class.

That would have been cool...
I've never been to California, so I wouldn't recognize that Half-Dome thingy.

every time we go to Yosemite and I see Half Dome, all I can think is "there's the Sierra rock!" HAHAHA
here's a pic of said rock when I was up there last ...

Nice shot! Looks pretty close to the small pictures that used to be on the bottom right of the back of the AGI games' boxes.

Any Ansel Adams fan would also recognize Half Dome.

I actually got a tour when I was fresh out of High School. I had every intention of working their customer service and working my way up (when my friend and I were working on the "B.C. Quest" thing... ah, niave dreams...) I should dig up some of the pictures... I look SO different...
