Unable to view full ending sequence of Gabriel Knight 2

I played the game on Windows XP using the HDD installer. Right after I push Von Glower into the furnace, the game screen minimizes to my desktop. After I reopen the game screen, I see the scene with Gabriel and Grace talking on the bridge. I don't know why this keeps happening. I think some of my game files are corrupt, I dunno.

If you used the installer from here you can find it in the game's folder. You will also find a shortcut to it in the Start Menu.
