Quest for Glory Collection Maker

A little project that I been working on is ready for testing. This is a collection maker for all of the QfG games. This installer will create a collection from the individual games you already have.
  • Hero's Quest
  • Quest for Glory 1 EGA
  • Quest for Glory 1 VGA
  • Quest for Glory 2
  • Quest for Glory 3
  • Quest for Glory 4 floppy
  • Quest for Glory 4 CD
  • Quest for Glory 5
Just place your installation files from the floppy disks for each game into subfolders named Hero, QfG1, QfG1VGA, QfG2, QfG3 and QfG4 respectivly (with subfolders for QfG4 named 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 for each disk of QfG4). Have your CDs from QfG4CD and QfG ready for when the installer asks for them.

You do not have to have all games to use this collection maker. Any games that you do not have or are in folders that do not have the right name will not show as an option in the installer. It will not work for the Anthology or Collection Series (or abandonware) versions of QfG1VGA, QfG3 or the floppy version of QfG4. Owners of the Anthology or Collection Series should just use the new installers.

Once you have the games installed, you can use the DVD prep wizard to prepare the files for burning to a DVD. This wizard will provide an AutoRun and new installer. It includes several extras such as demos, documentation, maps, save games, icons and character import files.
