I never noticed it till today while browsing scummvm compatibility list. Could anyone tell me exactly what are the differences between hires and lowres? Do Collector's installers install the hires version?

The floppy version was low res. The CD, or talkie version was high res (VESA). The 2006 VU collection only had the floppy version. The standalone installer will install either, depending on your version.

Weird you ask, because I just put up the Evolution of Larry Laffer where I mentioned the slight graphic enhancement in LSL6, that I literally posted today at like 4 in the morning.

I'd say more than just a slight enhancement. It is a little more than twice the resolution, from 320x200 to 640x480, if you use the VESA driver.

I loved the evolution of larry. I suggest you also add larry's character from the (canceled) larry 8 promotional video, larry's casino and from the laffer utilities.

Quite a few years ago there was also a similar 'evolution of Larry' picture in a fan site. I can't find it any more and it's good that you made something similar

You can do a completist version and include the Larrys from the Hoyle's games and Freddy Pharkas.

Well, two nights ago, while scouring Al Lowe's website for a possible GOOD picture of the LSL2 Promo Towel ... I came across his page here, which has pretty much the same idea, and even called "The Evolution of Larry"... so no doubt, I had seen it before, and had it buried in my conscious when I made mine... I was kind of bummed, because I thought I had done something unique! Pfft, goes to show there are no original ideas left in this world!

I was wondering where it was that I had seen something similar. He includes Casino.

Yes! I have been working on the LarryLaffer.net site these last few days... here and there, when I can at home.

Like I modified the Games section, so that when you select one of the games, it gives a little write up. Before it was just text with like cheat codes and such. I also broke up the sections - so if you go to Larrylaffer.net and select the menu and go to GAMES, each game has sections within those menus that are broken down to various things (Easter Eggs, Cheats, etc). Eventually, from the game page, it will link to all those sub sections as well.

Tawmis, when you get to updating your evolution of larry picture, be sure to include the close-up from lsl1 agi, from the scene where he shoots himself:

I could easily include that... because I have the images extracted from the game.
