I have gotten near the end of police quest 1 remake version and I'm using the one that came with the 2006 police quest collection. The car for some reasone is parked on the roof of the building where you have to gamble and when I talk to the person at the counter it locks and all I can do is quit the game or load it again. I tried several times but it keeps messing up.

Are you using DOSBox and if so what version?

I am using DOSBox 0.63 which is what the collection uses. I tried doing it manually and opening DOSBox 1st then opening police quest 1 vga but there is still the same problem.

Hrm. I'd recommend going to dosbox.com and downloading the latest version (which I believe is DosBox0.72?)...
Download the newest DOSBox here! and see if that resolves the issue? Having the newest DOSBox isn't going to hurt. I think Collector even wrote patches (should be on SHP somewhere?) to upgrade the newest collections to the newest DOSBox?

Police Quest Patches on SHP - scroll down and there's one for the 2006 Collection.

Awesome! Which one resolved your issue? New version of DOSBox or the patch?
Just for future reference in case this pops up again with someone else!
