Most probably don't know who Kent Burles is... But he was a Canadian Comic Artist who drew a comic called The Adventurers (which I am obviously a huge fan of since I made a wee fan site on my own site). The comic only ran for like three years total. But it was by far the greatest RPG comic ever out there in terms of fantasy. Because it felt like you were reading a comic of a D&D adventure. It felt like any character could die at any time. No one was ever safe. Well I found Kent's email address, when I had first done the fansite for The Adventurers and asked if it was okay if I used images and such (and pretty much to show him that someone really loved and enjoyed the work he did!) Well, we batted emails back and forth, then found out his was on Facebook and friended him eons ago. Been promoted his "Character of the Day" art around - and today - he surprised me.

It really is! And it's extra special because I used to dig Ken's art when he did THE ADVENTURERS comic... so to have an artist, that I have always enjoyed, do this - and do it as a surprise! - was beyond epic. It's now my profile everywhere. (Going to change it here now that the forum issues seem to have subsided).

That is freakin' awesome. Now, if he sent you the original sketch and signed it, that would be even more awesome.

I should offer to buy it! It is how he makes his living, so I understand not just giving away sketches!

There's an idea.

Being a professional however, it's a tad expensive. So maybe after the holidays (Holy Daze), I may ask if he still has it and what he would take for parting with the original.
