Shivers Ixupi Scares (spoilers and large img here)

For some reason I always wanted to get a better look at the Ixupi. And with the SCI Resource Viewer you can see them, but alas not in their natural habitat. So I decided to make some myself: using my trusty screen recorder I shot films of every single Ixupi scare in the game, which I then printscreened and pasted together in Paint to create lovely""Ixupi Scare Comics". And then uploaded them onto my DeviantArt account. Ahh. Free web space.

(I added three images that are on the CD but not in game. Two are at the end and one, around the 2:00 mark, is part of an obscure animation, in the View folder, file 28021.v56. It has the workplace door opening, and behind it is a moose head. If you check the other animation loops, you can see it talking and blowing a raspberry. )

Hey hey!
A week ago, I received a lot of mail in my DeviantArt inbox, from a fellow Shivers fan who liked these comics I made very much. He requested if I could also make comics of the scares when you try to capture them with the wrong pot, and of the captures. Most of the wrong pot scares weren't too interesting (save Cloth), but an excuse for playing Shivers is an excuse for playing Shivers, so I got down to it and made 25 more comics. And, since I got the sound running, I finally got to make an Ixupi Scare Video!

What did you do to get it working?

Good question, I don't know. Last time I dug up Shivers I couldn't get the sound to work, not even with your installer. This time I set both installer and game to run in Win 98 compatibility mode, and the sound worked.

In the Miscellaneous category, when I was playing the Peg Solitaire, I suddenly recognized one of the Chinese characters on the "game" so I went out and researched the other three. Top left means "investigate" or "obstructive wooden fence", top right means "to study", bottom left means "to change, to reform", bottom right means "red".
