What do you guys think of Microids' Still Life, I played it half-way through years ago, and I didn't like it but now I'm curious and I would want to finish it!
Opinions?

I didn't think it was bad per se, but the characters didn't appeal to me. Something else to watch out for is that Still Life uses StarForce.

Sheesh - it wasn't a bad game at all.
I really enjoyed it
.....and to hell with Starforce - an update from their site and its playable!

My boyfriend played it and loved it. He's more of a Gabriel Knight/Broken Sword kind of guy and not too much on fantasy. He's eagerly waiting for the second one to come out.

Maybe, then, I'll like it too this time around

I kept wanting to like it, but felt that fell short of being a really good game. Many of the puzzles seemed irrelevant to the story and almost irritating. I liked the sequences with Gus better than Victoria. I don't regret having bought the game, will be in no rush to buy Still Life 2.
As far as the StarForce goes, the very first thing that I do with a new game anymore is to replace the main EXE with a NoCD patched version. StarForce is installed on first launch.

That is your opinion. I'm sure you dislike many games in the FPS genre, but that doesn't mean they're "bad." I didn't care for
Still Life; if you enjoyed it, that's great.
