Hey all,

found another... bug? I guess it's a bug. Well anyway, when I installed my Space Quest Collection Series Collection using the installer found on this site, everything worked great except 2 of the games, Space Quest 1 VGA would launch and say "Error- cannot find SQ1VGA.bat" looking in the folder, there was no "SQ1VGA.bat" file, just one named "SQ1.bat", renamed it to "SQ1VGA.bat" and works great! also on my Space Quest V game it appears to open, then closes. Working on this one right now, will post my fix as soon as I can ^-^

Hi Everyone,

I just used the 1997 Space Quest Collection series installer from this site, and 2 problems, SQ1VGA wouldn't launch, but after a rename of a file, works great (posted about this in another thread) my main issue now is I can't get Space Quest V to even launch. I've uninstalled and installed the game via the install a few times and no improvements. If i remove the "exit" command/code from the DOSBox config file, the DOSBox window stays open and I get an error that reports "0.fon not found" but it's in the folder. any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is my Diagnostics Tool log

Thanks everyone!
~John

You can't stop Collector. He's like the Collector-nator. "I'll fix that." (Said in Arnold's voice!)

Thanks collector! for the new installer. Space Quest 1 VGA works great now. but still no fixing love for Space Quest V :(

I found if I edit the resource file and change " patchDir = .\PATCHES" to " patchDir = .\" works great.

Hope that helps

You must not have done a clean install. The RESOURCE.CFG had already been corrected.

I used the games uninstalled found in the folder, and reinstalled... I'll give it another go to be sure.

Thanks
