Hello there,

I am trying to ascend the mountain and have run into a problem with the 3rd puzzle. No matter what order I press the etchings in (leaving the 3rd one out of course), nothing happens. I thought that perhaps I wasn't supposed to be there yet, so I went back down only to have the game essentially freeze up right before I was on the beach - Alex does his balance-regaining move in a loop that I cannot interrupt or do anything during. I ended up having to restore an earlier saved game. From there I decided to do a few events in hopes that this would put me in the correct timing for the mountain, but I am at the 3rd puzzle again and still nothing is happening. Am I missing something here?

This is a copy protection puzzle. You have to refer to your manual.

It sounds like unikron might be experiencing some kind of bug in the game since he/she is pressing every combo possible while leaving out the third circle. Could you tell us what version of KQ6 you are playing and if you are using DOSBox, uni?

As for a timing issue, you should be allowed to go up the entire mountain without having to "trigger" anything else.

Hi guys - thanks so much for your replies! I definitely feel that I was experiencing a bug; I'm playing the GOG.com version of the game that I purchased, and through DOSBox. The problem resolved itself though! The game finally accepted the solution after I don't know how many times, so I'm not sure what was going on there. I am now experiencing a different problem in that I can't get the Bookworm to talk me about his missing Dangling Participle! And I'm getting close to the end of the game, so I'm afraid it might be too late?

(Nevermind about the Bookworm question, I just realized where my mistake was. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!!!)
