A-10 Silent Thunder speed issues

I am trying to run Silent Thunder on Windows Vista and I have the patch, but every time I start a campaign or do anything in-game, everything seems to go way too fast. The mission ends within seconds and the plane flies insanely fast. It's as if it was fast forwarded. Any suggestions?

Did you try installing it with the new installer from here?

Sorry, meant to say I used the installer from here, not the patch. I have also tried running the program in compatibility mode and disabling visual themes and scaling, as I had read on another forum that had worked for someone else for another game, but still no luck.

This is the first that anyone has reported this issue. Off hand I am n9ot sure what may be going on. Run the diagnostic and post the results here as an attachment.

Not sure how exactly to do that, I'm not too big on this stuff. Would you mind providing instructions? Thanks

Use the full editor and click the "Upload attachment" tab. Use that to upload the logfile.

Not in the game's folder. On these forums. Either click the "Post Reply" button or if you have clicked the "Quick Reply" button, click the Full Editor" button.
On the resulting page, below the area where you enter you message, click the "Upload attachment" tab.
Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the log file and click the "Add the file" button. When you submit your post, it will have the log as an attachment.
Sorry if this seems like too much, but any issue that I may have to invest some time and effort into, it is a pain to keep looking up posts to be able to refer to the log when I need to.

You seem to not be missing anything. The compatibility patch must have installed properly or the game would not have even started. I used your configuration and the game still ran normally for me. Try right clicking on the shortcut and choose "Run as administrator".

The plane speed is fixed now, but the mission still progresses too fast. I can't even reach a target and it says mission failed. I will attach the diagnostic again just in case, but maybe that's not part of the problem. Thanks for the help!

I am still not seeing anything to explain the difference, outside of the fact that you have Vista instead of 7. I really doubt that that could explain it. Also, UAC should not be a factor since you installed it in your Documents folder. I am not having issues on my quad core i7, so I doubt that it is a multi-threading issue, by try starting the game, but before do anything, bring up the task manager and go to the "Processes" tab. Right click on every process named "A10" and uncheck all listed cores but the same one, and only one, fro each process.
If this does not work, you could try updating your DirectX,
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... lang=en%0A and or your graphics card drivers.
