KQ7 Windows 7 help

Hey everyone,

So I read around and tried my hand at getting KQ7 to run but I'm kinda stuck. I installed the KQ collection in C:/SIERRA/King's Quest Collection and ran the installer found on the site. Everything worked out well and all the games run except for KQ7. When I try to open it the DOSBox 0.74 installer setup runs every single time and I can't figure out why.

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Here is the diagnostic for KQ7.

Unless you modified that log, there are no files in the KQ7 directory. The patch must be installed into the same folder that the collection was installed.

I bought the collection off of steam so I don't have any CDs. I installed the game in C:/SIERRA/King's Quest Collection and I installed the patch in that same folder so I'm not sure why the log doesn't show that. I can try to uninstall and reinstall everything.

I have heard that the patch works for the Steam version, so I am not sure what might have happened. Be sure to not interrupt the updater for KQ7, allowing it to complete.
