Hello,

After the first cutscene finishes in the 4th Disk of "Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh," the game crashes with this message:

We're sorry, you have encountered an internal game error. Please restart your game and restore a saved game. If you have continued problems, please report the following information to Sierra Technical Support:

Out of Memory: need=4249615817 got=12172860 freeLocked=1235948 WAVE_Res=2941 atr=0000860c last=2941.wav
Script# 63016 ($ff018374+)

Is there a solution to this problem, since I'm stumped to what can be done to fix this issue. I installed the game using the "Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh HDD/DVD DOSBox Setup."

Run the diagnostic and attach the log here as a file.

I need the part with the file list, too.

My computer refuses to let me to upload the file, because it's being considered a trojan, as well as not allowing me to upload the file due to the file requiring permission from my computer to do so, which I allowed the file to be used, but still gives me the same error.

The entire diagnostic_log.txt includes a list of the game's files. The diagnostic tool only reads a couple of things in the Registry and an install log in the game's folder. It then does a "DIR" command to create a list of the files in the game's folder. After it gathers this information it writes the diagnostic_log.txt. The tool makes no changes to the Registry nor writes any other files. The diagnostic_log.txt is just a TXT file, so your AV should not be interfering. I need that list to determine if there are any missing or misplaced files.

I finally manage to get my computer to allow filelist.exe to function properly while the diagnostics are running. Sorry about the empty game files list in the diagnostics log.

I only see one file missing and it is from CD4. Do you have a "7600.AVI" in the "DUK" folder on CD4?

The "7600.AVI" file is in the DUK folder in CD4, as well as where I installed the game.

How many files do you see in the DUK folder on CD4?

There are 246 files in the DUK folder in CD4 (1 .AVI file, 124 .CLU files, & 121 .DUK files.)

Check for 8001.P56 in the base of the game's folder. If it is missing, look on CD1.

I don't know why, but I don't see the "8001.P56" file in CD1, but it's where I installed the game.

It looks like you have the original version without the DOS interpreter. The installer applies the official Sierra DOS patch, which includes 8001.P56. It did not show in the file list of the diagnostic log. You're sure that it is in the installed directory?

Attach your save games (all P2SG.* files) in a zip so I can see if I can replicate the issue.

Here are all of my P2SG files (The save is at the end of CD3).

I see the "8001.p56" file in the game directory (modified in 12/3/1996 at 11:05 AM | 302 KB). Strange that the diagnostic tools didn't include that file in the game files list.
