Nope, first time I see it. Doesn't seem very active though.

I found it when looking at my site statistics and found a number of hits from it. It links to SHP for each game's tech support.

When I try clicking on any of the links that bring you to the shp website, it takes me to a shp page that says hot linking isn't allowed

That means he is trying to link directly to my files, not a page. I disallowed hot linking because some abandonware sites were linking to my files as if they were their own.

Never heard of it either.

Cool, how do you do that (detect hot linking)? Ultra short answer, please.. I've not a website to implement it on, I'm just curious how that's done, from the 15Kft level..

It is just a setting in the cPanel. This can be set by file extensions. It also lets you set a redirect page. The one I did for SHP is

Should we reach out to the owner of the Forum and see if they want to be a part of the Sierra Gateway thingie? We still doing that?

The only posts on his forum are his own starter posts and it has been around for a little while. The Gateway is still there, but remember, the purpose was to tie the existing community together. He should just do a regular website or blog instead of a forum. I would hate to be starting a new forum these days when established forums are falling by the wayside. Even most of the regulars here have not been posting much of late.

I certainly have a busy schedule, but I hope you're not insinuating that you're going to start thinking about shutting down these forums.. There aren't many forums left for me to be a part of..
The last forum I was "really big at" closed because its owner was brought to court for improperly running raffles on the forum to raise money for a good cause.. It's a really crazy story..

I agree (made a long post about it on the Sierra Gamers FB page when that came up), about forums falling by the wayside.
I currently got promoted at work, and already moving into yet ANOTHER promotion (probably within a year, at the latest) - so my time online, which was mostly done at work (amazing how I got promoted too! Good time management skills and multitasking abilities!) - but I am not in front of the computer as much as I used to be. And it's also Intern season at work, and supporting them is a nightmare. It's endless calls. When I get home, I typically don't touch the computer (and haven't even touched the X360, despite getting two new games). I usually veg out and watch tv with the wife; or these days reading comics. Just something to relax my brain and be away from computers.

+1 .. time is more precious than it used to be.. I am trying to get back into it here and there where I can.. I am so excited to see SV one day, but I dread I'll not have time to play it!
