Prairie dog 97 for windows runs a lot faster than it should. I thought about using cpu killer but really I don't want to slow down the computer itself, I just want to slow down the program. Moslo is good but it is for dos games and the free version does not work on anything quicker than 700 mhz. Anyone have a possiable solution to my problem.

Try installing Windows 3x in DOSBox.

So just how do you install Windows 3.x in DOSBox? I mean DOSBox is just a virtual drive that once you close the program - that drive goes away.
Not that I have a copy of Windows 3.X to even do this - but was curious how one does this...

You install on a mounted drive. You can't write to the Z: drive, anyway. There is a guide on SHP, too, but may be getting a little dated:
Windows 3x in DOSBox. All of the drivers, etc. are hosted on SHP. I found a copy of Win3.11 in a Goodwill store for $3.

I've done it. Pretty good for getting the (inferior) Windows versions of Sierra games to work properly. The only one I'd consider, though, is King's Quest VI because of the high res portraits. Other than that all the DOS versions are far superior.

I would love it if someone could hack the Windows graphics and AVI support into the DOS version. NewRisingSun might be able to do so. He did something similar with SQ4. I doubt he would want to do so, though. He has stated that he hates the Windows graphics in KQ6.
