Looking forward to offering to beta-test this game. From what I've seen Doan's visuals do not disappoint, that video is a testament to that.

That looks great! I'll definitely give it a go once it's available! (I liked the format of the SCI quest for glory's much more than the VGA ones. I think the system fits the game mechanics much better.)
Re: New QfG style game in SCI
Except for QfG5 they were all SCI games.

Re: New QfG style game in SCI
When I say SCI, I'm referring to the parser-based non-ega games like KQ4, SQ3, etc. What's the term for them then? That's what I've always called them.Collector wrote:Except for QfG5 they were all SCI games.
Re: New QfG style game in SCI
There were several revisions of SCI. The original was SCI0, EGA, with a parser interface. The first SCI 1 game (Quest for Glory II) was still EGA and still used a parser interface. VGA with the icon driven interface was introduced with SCI1. The later ones, SCI2 to SCI3 were referred to as SCI32 since they started to take advantage of 32-bit architecture. You can see a list of the SCI games on the SCI Wiki:

Testing my brains out on this game, it's still on schedule for a Dec 24th release. Really enjoying it, the level of detail in this game, the dialog boxes, sprite animations and use of music is astonishing. This game really showcases what is possible in the SCI0 engine - I am impressed.
I really think everyone here would enjoy playing it, stay tuned!

This game is now up for download HERE
Thanks for all the interest in the game. I just hope it is fun. Also, development and playtesting got rushed at the end to meet the deadline, so please forgive any spelling errors and/or bugs.
With that said, enjoy!
