Anyone know if this has been done before? Similar to a photo-mosaic, but with room screens instead of photos.
If this hasn't been done, I think a December competition might be fun

Well there are the game maps that some sites have mad from screenshots of rooms, but feel free to start a game of it. What rules or instructions?

Ok, competition is on.
I have considered a few rules, but discarded them as I think it will hamper imagination. But here are the basic instructions:
1) Get the screenshots from where ever you can, use whatever tools you have at your disposal.
2) Generate the mosaic with whatever tools you choose (I believe there are a couple of sites on the internet that will do this very easily)
3) The overall resolution of the submission should be zoom-able enough to very clearly identify each individual screen
4) Oh, and they should be Sierra (or Sierra-inspired) game screenshots - or possibly fan art, or???
I'm interested in the ideas & images that come out of this!
EDIT: I'm thinking that the mosaic should ideally be of a wide-screen format, suitable for desktop backgrounds

Something like this?

Sort of, yes. But I was thinking more like this here:
Yoda photo mosiac, where there is a large recognizable image made out of many much smaller images.
EDIT: Here's a site that could possibly work for the mosiac generation (free, online-use)

Here's one that I put together using all the rooms from KQ1 (SCI version) - and I just realized that the resolution isn't high enough to really appreciate the individual screens. Still, not a bad start.
EDIT: I created another one with AndreaMosaic, a free mosaic-generating software
http://www.andreaplanet.com/andreamosaic/. The software provides tons of options, here's what I eventually turned out (very high res):

The more tiles you have the sharper the image.
LSL2 cover using LSL2 screen shots.

And a scene from LSL2 done with LSL2 screen shots. (Although I should select to only use some screen shots a max amount of times; it looks like it used the same few repeatedly for this one).

It seems that those aren't just mosaics of screenshots; the big picture is blended in, as well. That makes it much less impressive, in my mind.

I think this one's the coolest so far, it has the least obvious repeats.
Edit: I mean the Graham and Cassima one, the picture didn't quote!

It is. But, I believe that's how it has to "draw" it.
