Kings Quest 6 German Floppy Problem

Hello!

I used the Kings Quest 6 Floppy Version Installer from SHP, but somehow it didn't really work... Any ideas?

The start screen is still in English, the main menu is still in English, the Intro stops when audio should be played stating that 3001.syn wasn't found.
The Game text itself is german, but its missing german special characters like "ä", "ö", "ü" and "ß". Additionally, each time the text has such a character, it does a carrier return / line feed. See attached screenshots and diagnostics. Any help?

Well, the installer was not designed for localized versions. There are probably differences in the file layout between your copy and the US version, specifically language specific patch files. Also, the installer uses the VGA320.DRV from the GK1 demo to address the opening sequence glitches with the original driver, but I doubt that that has anything to do with it.

Give me some time to look into it, but it probably has to do with missed files.
