The music during gameplay cuts out and doesn't start again, anyone know how to fix this?(Hooray for a tech problem each day this week!)

It doesn't appear to have been. I installed it from the disc itself, rather than an installer.

That is why I use _inmm in the installer because of issues with CD audio on modern Windows.

The installer worked, but was still flagged as a virus, but out of curiousity, what IS _inmmserv?

_inmm is a utility that allows games that use CD audio to use ripped and compressed tracks instead of the actual CDA tracks. Not only does this allow CD-less play with music, it is a work around for certain compatibility problems with games that rely on MSCDEX ,analog or older ASPI interfaces. These issues can lead to no CD audio, stuttering and other problems with in game music. It makes ES2 music work perfectly on my machine. The problem is that my machine is only one possible configuration, so YMMV.

Well it works on my machine, the sound goes out sometimes, but that isn't a major annoyance, just restart the current mission and sound is back.

Perhaps what you are noticing is that the track do not loop, so when the track ends the music stops.

No, what I mean is that there's no voices, no gunfire, no HERC stomps, but it's not that big of an issue, I could run the diagnostic tool and post it here if you want.

I have not had it cut out on my PC. Attach a diagnostic log here if you wish, but I suspect that it is most likely something specific to your PC.
