PQ3 ending
No matter what I do, I always get the bad ending... I finish up with 450 points of 460 (read somewhere that it's the maximum possible to reach due to a bug in the game), and no matter what, I always get the scene with Jim Walls stating that Marie remained in a coma I gave the locket back to her and all that (and get no points for it, that's where the point bug resided IMO), but still the bad ending. Any help would be appreciated...

Re: PQ3 ending
You are correct, the max score you can get is 450. There are several things you can do for Marie over the course of the game, and I believe you have to do all of them for her to recover. The locket was one. One Day 2 you can give her the music box and a rose and then kiss her. One Day 4 you notice that her IV dosage is wrong and can tell the doctors. What's odd though is that you should be a few points short if you missed any of these.

I dug around and found:
Police Quest 3 featured multiple endings, with only one good ending. If the player failed to address one crucial part of the game's several plot threads, they might not get the good ending, but rather a bad ending resembling the game's many death sequences (featuring Jim Walls and the squad car).
So perhaps, something else, missed somewhere?

Re: PQ3 ending
I did all those you mentioned, mates...
- kiss
- rose
- music box
- IV dosage
- locket
Still have no clue. If it helps, I bought "additional" roses on everyday. Maybe that was the bug?

Possible. I can't say I've ever tried doing that. As you give Marie each item, her condition improves. The game says stuff like "You think you see her smile", "She looks more comfortable" with each item. When you finally give her the locket it should say something like "Her eyes open. She's going to be okay!". Do you remember what it says when you give her the locket?jonesmalaco wrote: Still have no clue. If it helps, I bought "additional" roses on everyday. Sure, she opened her eyes and smiled. "All according to plan", so I guessednotbobsmith wrote: Do you remember what it says when you give her the locket?

Hmmm. Not sure what else it could be. I found in a walkthrough that you can kiss her again on Day 4 and you aren't awarded any points, but I don't think that's it. I'm not sure what else you can do.
