So I just saw the 7am showing tonight.
I would like to say it was a perfect movie.
However, the English language does not possess a word that explains when something goes beyond perfection.
Seriously.
This movie will make your cry, it will make you laugh, it will make you stand up and cheer!
EVERY character was so well written. EVERY actor delivered their best. Every bit of dialogue, every bit of action, so woven with something beyond perfection.
Avengers was my favorite movie, until Captain America 2 (which took over, because I thought EVERY character shined there). Sadly, Captain America 2 has been dethroned by a movie superior to it in every regard. And that is saying something.
Go see it. This weekend. Sit with the crowd. Be a part of something amazing. Don't wait until it dies down. Be immerse with the joy of those around you. Experience it. Live it. Seriously. Do it. This coming from someone who has a strong dislike of crowds!
#YoureWelcome

Four times? I could understand seeing a movie in theaters maybe twice, but not four times. Movie tickets just cost too damn much!

For reference, where Maia and I live, a single movie ticket is $11.75, and that's not 3D or IMAX. If you want those, you'll pay $14.75 or $17.75. Those prices are before taxes, as well.

I paid €7,50 for my ticket to The Wind Rises - at an arthouse theatre in a little old factory room not even deserving the name cinema. Big film house Pathé charges 12 euros to adults, but unlimited viewing for 19 € per month.
Few people go there these days anyway, now that you can download a film within days of release and view it on your home cinema system. I hadn't been to the cinema in 7 years - lack of good films. Good films that I was aware of, that is.

I can relate to seeing films more than once in cinema. Went to South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut 3 times and Fahrenheit 911 twice. Each time in different company though.

Well the first time, was opening (Thursday), IMAX 3D with the wife. (A Co-worker happened to be there as well, so we sat together).

The second time, I saw it solo at Arclight (which has assigned seating, super nice seats, etc). This was so I could watch it normal - without geeking out over the entire movie. And just watch it to watch it.

Third time, my friend's daughter came into town from Texas, so I saw it with them and the wife.

Then the 4th time, quite a few co-workers were going (who hadn't seen it, and some who had before), so I joined all of them for that.

I could easily see it quite a few more times in the theater. Or in general.

As in I can't see spending that much money in such a short period on a single movie. :P ;)

Bwhahah! Most (sane) people wouldn't, I don't think. There in, is the key word - sane.

I am far from that. And when it comes to (Marvel/Disney) doing Marvel movies - they haven't gone wrong. (I won't discuss Fox's version of Marvel movies, woe do they hurt my heart!)

But this movie... is mind blowing. I enjoyed seeing it the first time, with the wife. It was a 2 hour geek fest. (Better than p0rn!)
Second time, was seeing it alone, just because I got the geek out, out of my system. (For the most part...)
Third time, I enjoyed seeing it with both Katie (who knew nothing of the movie, hadn't even seen previews, just heard about the hype) and Poppy (her mother, and good friend of mine, who normally does not do "sci fi" type movies) - and hearing them both laughing through the movie (and even shedding some tears!) And then being able to discuss it with them at the end.
Fourth time, was with a bunch of co-workers that I work very closely with - was fun to see it with them (some comic fans, some not), and talking about it with them.

Really, it comes down to sharing the joy I feel. It's a good feeling.
