The Janitorial Times officially joins the Sierra Gateway

I am happy to announce that Franz has decided to have The Janitorial Times become a member board of the Sierra Gateway. The JT has been linked to on the SierraForums.com page since its beginning, but has not been a part of the Gateway effort. Franz has promoted MusicallyInspired to admin to facilitate this. Now Space Quest has full representation in our Sierra community.

I'm still trying to get a proper external link to the gateway from the JT, but at least there's some sort of link to get there for now. I'm working on updating to phpBB3 as soon as I get the go-ahead from Frans.

I think that that is best. phpBB3 is more secure and bot resistant. It adds features that would other wise rely on risky mods.

Yes, but if you're used to phpbb2... let me tell you, phpbb3 is a different monster when you go into the Admin Panel...

For those who've been wondering why The Janitorial Times has been down all morning, it was due to me upgrading the forums to phpBB3.0.4. It is at last complete and even has a proper external redirect to the gateway at last. I had to make a custom Space Quest forum theme from an existing one as the Solaris theme (that we used on the old boards) doesn't have a phpBB3.x version yet.

So I hope you will all enjoy the new look. Let me know if anyone has any problems.

I like the look of the forum. Nice job, considering you edited an existing skin and aren't too familiar with phpbb3!
