Hello,
i tried to run KQ7 over DOSBox with Windows 3.11. I have mounted Windows via virtual c drive and KQ7 installed. But when I want to start KQ7, I get the error-message "Unexpected DOS Error: 21" And nothing happens. Maybe there is another topic dealing with it, but I was not able to find it.
I run it on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
If you have ideas how to solve this problem pls help
Best Regards

What commands are you using? I'm running it by inputting
C:\sierra -o resource.cfg
And it runs. I've also run space quest 6 on DOSBox by typing in "sierra -o".

Re: King's Quest VII Starting Problems
My installer is more involved than that. It includes a binary patch to upgrade earlier versions of the game to version 2.00b, which not only addresses all known bugs except the firecracker timer bug (which is moot in DOSBox), but also includes a DOS interpreter that can be run directly in DOSBox without Win3x installed. The "-o" switch just forces the interpreter to follow the old (pre SCI2) resource-naming convention only.

Hopefully they get back to letting us know if your patch worked for them.
