Hey guys. Its been a while for me posting here. But I have some new news from the world of ScummVM. They added some more Sierra titles to their list of compatible titles. It some
SCI-32 I think it is SCI-32 games.
King's Quest VII,
GK 1 & 2
Torin's Passage,
The talkie high-Res version of LSL6
Space Quest 6.
PQ4
Shivers
Phantasmagoria
This is indeed good news. For a while now ever since they added the games they added such as KQ6 Windows version we wondered if would add the newer SCI titles like SQ6 LSL6-high res version. Makes me wonder if LSL7 would be possible in the future.
Here is the compatibility list Also they have QFG4 on there but it is untested but this might be the answer to the dreaded error 52 debacle.

Cool. Most of these, I've gotten from GoG (which uses DOSBox for most - obviously not for the Windows version of KQ6 and such). But cool to know that they're knocking stuff out. :)

It certainly is. Makes me wonder how well it runs the new games added and whether or not the bugs that plagued these games on modern systems. Mind you you have to download one of the daily builds rather than the latest stable build to get these games to work.

I'm still torn between SCUMMVM and DOSBox combined with unofficial patches.

I *MUCH* prefer DOSBox when possible. The most important addition is Shivers since it is a Win16 game.

I know what you mean. Makes me wonder if the timer bugs will be corrected using ScummVm ex SQ6 and KQ7. I'm going to test this an see how well this works.
Also adding QFG IV might be a good addition to see if the dreaded error 52 is gone for those who do not want to full around with DOSBox

Actually, it's already working pretty well in the daily builds.

They haven't officially supported them yet. They made an update to their daily unstable builds that support them. They don't call them officially supported until the bugs are worked out. They've made a lot of changes and now people need to test it out in the unstable builds to work out the bugs. Once most of the biggest ones are taken care of and it mostly resembles gameplay from the original DOS interpreter, then they'll add it into a new ScummVM release version and call it officially supported. Some of these games were already "playable" in ScummVM daily builds. I say "playable" but they barely worked. They still have problems now. SQ6 Demo crashed on me when I tried to adjust the music volume slider.

Yeah I know. If you go to the compatibility page it says its not a stable build. Im doing some testing to see how well some games work. I know with one of the builds some guy got to the end of Torrin's passage and it crashed.
