The Black Cauldron: Point and Click sound not working

Edit: Not sure if this qualifies as piracy in any way/shape/or form since these were found on the SCI programmers wiki. If so, please remove links.
I downloaded the Black Cauldron: Point and Click SCI version from this link. However, I get no sound.
When I downloaded it instead from this link, the sound works.
Aside from a few different files, I notice that the latter's resource.cfg has soundDrv = STD.DRV while the former is soundDrv = ADL.DRV. If I change ADL.DRV to STD.DRV, the sound works.
However, the sound does not seem as good as the AGI version, in which I seem to hear all 3 channels. So, my questions are as follows:
1. Which version of this SCI remake should I download? The one from the SCI Programmer's Wiki seems like it comes with an executable with DOSBox and seems to be pre-configured, though this isn't a big deal. Is one of these versions more recent than the other?
2. Why is the sound set to ADL.DRV in the version from SCI Programmer's Wiki if it doesn't work? Or does it require some different configuration of my DOSBox settings? I have the machine set to svga_s3.
3. Not only does there seem to be one channel in the SCI version, but the sound is actually quite different. It also sounds kind of.. distorted. Like it's clipping a bit or something. Is this just the nature of the fact that it's been remade in the SCI engine and it's as good as it gets?
