We're down to eight matches for the Best Sierra Game to vacation in! Again, the match-ups are customized against similar-ish games. We even have a few showdowns I'm genuinely interested in seeing play out.

For newcomers, some notes:
1. Vote the for game you'd love to spend a vacation in, doing whatever you want, inside the confines of the game.
2. You can bring supplies like food and camp gear.
3. The game world can be as safe and tourist-friendly as you want.

1. King's Quest 1 vs. Space Quest 1
- King's Quest 1 gets my vote here. Daventry is a magical kingdom!

2. King's Quest 3 vs. Conquests of Camelot
- King's Quest 3 gets my vote here. KQ3 saw a bunch of different places to vacation!

3. King's Quest 7 vs. EcoQuest 1
- EcoQuest takes it here. The other two have me going to Daventry; this time I can swim with the dolphins and whales!

4. Leisure Suit Larry 3 vs. Space Quest 4
- Leisure Suit Larry 3 had some very nice vacation spots! (It's literally a vacation resort!)

5. Police Quest 3 vs. Gabriel Knight 1
- Welcome to New Orleans - GK1 for me.

6. Quest for Glory 4 vs. Quest for Glory 5
- Quest for Glory 4 seems more exotic to me!

7. Leisure Suit Larry 6 vs. Leisure Suit Larry 7
- Since they're both vacationy games - I'm going with LSL6, just for the redhead at the pool.

8. Phantasmagoria vs. Shivers
- I am all about the haunted houses, Phantasmagoria for me to visit!

1. King's Quest 1
It has swimming, climbing, a petting zoo, and dancing leprechauns.

2. Conquests of Camelot
I can ride horses, learn to joust, and even visit parts of Jerusalem! Plus the riddle stones will keep me occupied for hours.

3. King's Quest 7
I stand by last round where I say I have a toxic fear of entering the ocean. I think visiting Eluria would mean I'm on clean-up duty most of the trip anyway.

4. Leisure Suit Larry 3
Time travel and space shopping is fun, but I'll take a commercialized tropical island with piano bar any day.

5. Gabriel Knight 1
Over PQ3? Well... yeah!

6. Quest for Glory 5
I'd raise the argument that Silmaria is not only a nice place to visit, but I'd also want to live there. Cozy accommodations, lots of daytime activities and night life, and a diverse selection of meals. I feel a trip to Mordavia would be cold and garlic-scented. Everyone in town would keep asking me to leave, I'd see rotting corpses walking around, and south of town is a swamp full of dead children. Total turn-off.

7. Leisure Suit Larry 6
I based my last LSL choice on the company I'd keep, and LSL6 seems a lot friendlier than LSL7. There's a lovely senorita who'll give me enema treatments, a friendly guy who'll let me ride the trolley, and a Southern belle I can chat with in the mud baths to name a few. And if I get past the fence to the employees-only area, I have access to beer and dancing. I think I can give up LSL7's bowling and buffet for a gym and taco truck.

As for me...

1. King's Quest 1 vs. Space Quest 1. Tough one. I played them both this time, and I liked SQ1 better because it felt more "grown up". On the other hand, KQ1 is less deadly. So... KQ1 for me!

2. King's Quest 3 vs. Conquests of Camelot. CoC for me! I love the medieval feel of the game (even if it's simplified somewhat), and I've read some of the original by Thomas Malory. So... yep.

3. King's Quest 7 vs. EcoQuest 1. Haven't finished either, but from what I saw of them both, I think I'd prefer EQ1 to KQ7. Less deadly.

4. Leisure Suit Larry 3 vs. Space Quest 4. Again, haven't played SQ4 - but I did play (and beat) LSL3 multiple times... aaaaaaaand lovin' it. LSL3 all the way.

5. Police Quest 3 vs. Gabriel Knight 1. No contest. I'm going to hang around Jackson Square and watch the entertainment, listen to hot jazz, play chess at the Napoleon House (I've played chess competitively for 25 years so I'm pretty fair at it, even if I say so myself!), eat some beignets, and stay the hell away from the voodoo angle. GK1 FTW!

6. Quest for Glory 4 vs. Quest for Glory 5. Tough one. If it was just a question of adventuring, QfG4 would win hands-down - all those dangerous things to do! Plus lots of yummy food. Don't let the garlic put you off - just stay away from those avocado-and-garlic sandwiches (or take off the avocados and top them off with Dijon mustard). On the other hand, I've actually been to Greece and loved it. So... QfG5 by a nose.

7. Leisure Suit Larry 6 vs. Leisure Suit Larry 7. LSL6 is just more fun and less humiliation for our white-suited hero. Beer, mud baths, a pool, taco truck... or just lie down and sleep for a while. LSL6 for me.

8. Phantasmagoria vs. Shivers. Don't know either game, sorry. Phantasmagoria, I guess?

I want to hurry this round through because I'm going on an actual vacation this long weekend (Edmonton, for family stuff). So whatever draws there are, I'll look through people's comments and award extra points on their arguments. Because this is one of those games where everything's made up and the points don't matter.
