Ok now I'm getting a problem described here.

I try renaming the closest mpg2 file I can find but it still tells me to insert the first CD even though I have it in the drive. Has anyone else gotten this?

Did you install in someplace other than the default location?

Nope. It's at C:\SIERRA\Gabriel Knight 3

Ok I figured out that's because I had it set in Windows 95 compatibility mode. I take that off I get a black screen but can't hear any of the Sierra.avi music that most people say they hear.

Sounds like a missing codec. Try renaming Sierra.avi in the Data folder to get the game to skip it.

That doesn't work. I think the game is then pulling the Sierra.avi file from the CD. I also tried downloading a dummy avi of a clock and that didn't work either. Can you give me the codec?

Double click the Sierra.avi and see if it plays in Media player. Also check out the GK3 Help Page for more ideas.

Yeah it plays just fine outside the game. Hard to believe its such a hassle to make it play in the game. I'm stumped.

Did you check out the GK3 Help Page? Also, do you have FDD Show or any other big codec packages installed?

Yeah and I tried to check for FDD. I typed FDD in Search and nothing came up. Do you think that was good enough? What are some of the other big name codecs I need to be looking for?

Try uninstalling the XVid codec. If that doesn't fix it you can reinstall it.

That didn't work and I'm sorry to keep bugging you but you seem to be enjoying this.

Try updating your graphics card drivers.
