What games have you replayed the most?

What games (Sierra or otherwise) have you replayed most often?
King's Quest 7 and the first two Kyrandia games come to mind for me (throw Kyrandia 3 in there from time to time). Partly because I know them like the back of my hand, so it isn't a huge time commitment to see them all the way through. Plus they're like comfort food, and are very calming during stressful times. I must've replayed KQ7 at least 10 times over the last two years. Loom is another one that's easy to bang out in a short timeframe.
LB1 and LB2 I tend to revisit once every few years or so - being bigger time commitments, I'm not able to replay them quite as much. Same for the Quest for Glory games; I love them, but I've got to have the patience to see them through.

I replayed the QfG games at least 3 times when I was younger and had more time and patience. Nowadays I (sometimes) replay through QfG4 or QfG5, which I enjoy the most. (Depending on whichever I feel like).
I sometimes used to replay through the LSL games (usually LSL1, 6 or 7). I replayed through SQ1 and 2 when they came out in VGA and became easier... I certainly had no wish to replay through the EGA SQ2, especially the plant maze. (That plant maze killed my Roger more times than I can count!)
I also sometimes replay through GK1, which is still my favourite out of all the GK games. (It's the same with the Dragon Age games, for that matter - I still sometimes give DA1 a spin, but not DA2 or 3. Not sure why - it's just my favourite).

The only ones I've replayed somewhat recently (at least within the past couple of years) have been QfG 1-4 (I've still never beaten 5), but I used to replay SQ 1, 5, and 6 all the time. Overall, SQ6 is probably the one I've replayed the most, along with KQ7.

I'd say the game I play most frequently is
Leisure Suit Larry 1 (EGA). And that's mostly because it's very easy, very brainless... so when I am bored, and have no idea what I want to do, I launch that game, and power through it. (The longest part of the game for me is the gambling part... simply because I've never been good at gambling... in real life, or digitally either, apparently).
Games that I frequently load, but rarely finish, and just keep playing on and off again, all the time - is
Realms of Arkania - Star Trail (I've beat the game itself, probably a thousand times, but I literally have a save game that dates back about six years now, that I started, and just poke at every once in awhile
) and
Wizardry 8 (which I've beat probably about 25 times; but same thing, I started another game like five years ago, where I will go do a thing or two, and then save, and not touch it again for like six months).
I have
Legend of Grimrock and
Legend of Grimrock II - neither of which I've beat yet, but have installed, and poke at every so often. Both of those games are several years old.
I frequently play the first
Laura Bow (Colonel's Bequest) - probably at least once a year.
I play the first
Toejam & Earl game frequently - I have that both on my PC as well as on my Wii (which is collecting TONS of dust - so it's mostly on my PC I play it. I have it on my SEGA, and a working, ancient SEGA, believe it or not - but both the game and console are sitting in storage after a recent clean up of my home office).
I am sure there's others that are slipping my mind.

I find some way of revisiting some of the KQ games at least once a year. Usually it's through LPs, but my kid's been using KQ2 to learn how to use arrow keys (he always walks them into the water.) But KQ6 is the one I've replayed the most.

Of Sierra it's really been the LSL's 1 and 7 - and more recently GK3 and GK1. LSL1 was back in the day about the best PC game we had, LSL7 was absolutely brilliant (still is!) and almost impossible to complete 100% without referring to a point list while playing... and I'm not sure if I'd survive a game that's more engrossing than the GKs.
I'm thinking really hard, but I just can't think of a non-Sierra adventure game that has had as much replay value as these - even Grim Fandango, or the Broken Swords I played, they just don't have that much landscaping.
I take it you're talking about adventure games, which by definition have a more limited shelf life than, say, Tetris. Then there are puzzle games like the Shivers and Dr Brain series which have more of a random factor and as such have more replayable elements (I'm looking at you, Liquid Weights!) than a regular adventure. Even those I haven't played nearly as much as LSL or GK.

King's Quest 4-6 are others I forgot to mention. Those are often ones I revisit at least once every year or so. Now that I'm starting to get a feel for AGI titles (finally completed the original KQ1 for the first time ever a few months back), I might start revisiting those soon.
One thing I love is occasionally discovering something I'd missed or never known about, even after years and years of playthroughs. I only learned about the "secret potion" in Kyrandia 2 a few years ago, and just yesterday I discovered the hidden mutton leg in Kyrandia 1. Given how much bigger Sierra's games tend to be, there are undoubtedly surprises awaiting me there too. I've still never figured out the exact sequence of events in LB2 that earn you the best "how well you're playing" messages between acts.
Plus, it only took me 16 years to finally achieve "super sleuth" in LB1.

Oh! *surprised* SHP, I thought you meant which Sierra games have I replayed the most. Are any games allowed?
If they are, then recently, I've definitely replayed Skyrim quite often (and often with mods)!
If I'm in the mood for a good-story-and-good-characters RPG, I prefer DA1. If I'm just in the mood for brainless brigand bashing(TM), then it's Skyrim every time. If I'm in the mood for a looooong turn-based game, then historically it's been Civ 3 and lately Civ 5. (I tried Civ 6 and it's interesting too).
As for replay value... I'm afraid that LucasArts games (once you beat them) offer very little replay value, because you already know what will happen. That said, of the LucasArts games, Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 3 are my favourites to replay - the former for the great characters and story, and the latter because it's so silly (but in a good way), and isn't afraid to poke fun at itself.
"A pirate I was meant to be", indeed!

I guess I can technically add EverQuest to my list. Back in the day, I was pretty into EverQuest - my wife, my close friends, all played and we were all in the same guild.
These days, my former boss (who I got along with very well), his wife, and their two friends (Anita and Kara) all play on Weds - so we all try to log on when we can on Weds, group up, for a few hours of laughs, disasters, and death, for a night.
EverQuest was a brutal MMO (and we play on a 1999 version of the server, so it's still brutal). The official version of EverQuest (which is also now free to play) has lightened up on the brutality of the game to it's players. (Dying meant losing a sizable chunk of XP, and you could lose your level; you'd "return" to where ever you were bound - and only true casters can bind themselves anywhere - everyone else had to bind in a city; and when you "returned" you did so without your body, so you were naked). So imagine being a warrior, you are "bound" to a city like 60 zones away, and there's oceans and high level monsters between you and your body - and you're completely naked.
Ah. Those were the days!

I've played these games SO MUCH I needed a break. I haven't touched a Sierra game in.....geez a couple years at least. I think I need a good 5 years before I return to them. I just know too much about them. There's still some I haven't beaten yet, though. Like Laura Bow and Eco Quest and such.

If we're going outside Sierra, I think I've replayed the Mass Effect series the most, if I can count each of the original three games as another replay. I can't think of another huge sandbox game that I've gone through more than a few times, let alone 18. And I haven't even done a "Sentinel" run yet.
But historically, it was probably either Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 (& Knuckles!) As a kid, I must've played through those nearly a hundred times. Same with Lion King for Genesis. It's been over twenty years, so I don't remember the time I spent playing these games, but the fact that I still have the muscle memory to breeze through them speaks volumes.

So even though you know these Sierra games - things like Laura Bow and EcoQuest - would you consider going to try these since you've not beat them?
(I am surprised you've not beat Laura Bow... seems like a game that would be sort of up your alley...)

Good call. Mass Effect 1 and 2, I've replayed quite a bit. Replayed Mass Effect 3 a few times.
Dragon Age is another - well, Dragon Age: Origins. That's the only one I've ever repeated more than once. Dragon Age II... I wasn't too much of a fan of, except for
Isabella (for obvious reasons... because she calls to the pirate in me... that's why...) And Dragon Age III is freaking HUGE - and I am a completionist when it comes to RPG games... the first play through I went through EVERY side quest... and there's SO many in Dragon Age III...
And along the lines of Bioware, Neverwinter Nights (for which I used to make my Neverending Nights series) - but ironically, have NEVER beat the game. I've replayed it a thousand times, but never seem to get around to finishing it - and never import/copy my save games to new machines... so I think I have NWN save games, for different characters, in different spots, on like eight computers...

Actually, I started playing it again in the summer sort of with my kids while we were visiting my brother and his family in Texas. But then it just sort of stopped. I do want to finish Laura Bow. I'm kind of stuck at the moment. I'll play that one for sure though. But the stuff like the KQ's, SQ's, etc. The mainline games. I can't touch those for a while I think lol. I don't think I'll ever forget enough about them to make it feel truly fresh again. It's all muscle memory now.

Which Laura Bow haven't you finished, both or just one of them?
