Well? Lots of things can look like that (i.e. sloping at the sides, flat on top).
Compare and contrast the fortress of Masada:
Or the Great Ziggurat of Ur:
Or, dare I say it, the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan:
Hmm?

Not the same thing. SQ4 and the new Blade Runner show the protagonist looking on the aftermath of the futuristic devastation of a city. Context is important.

There were a lot of shots in that scene/sequence that were super reminiscent of SQ4.

OK, I wasn't aware of that because I haven't played SQ4
or seen Blade Runner 2049. *shrug*
Mea culpa.
Even so, looking at the ruins of Masada or the Great Ziggurat of Ur or the Temple of the Sun today, it's not hard to imagine what it must have looked like in its heyday. It's pretty easy to see where both Blade Runner and SQ4 got their inspiration for the "look" of that scene.

The screenshots are right there right next to eachother though...
Seriously doubt any of those ruins had anything to do with SQ4 or Blade Runner's designs.

It's not as much the inspiration of the look as it is the visual parallel between the two with the added context.
