Gee, I... wonder where they got the name for that?MusicallyInspired wrote:Made by a German dev. Woohoo I guess. Not my cup of tea lol.

My thoughts exactly. A smart company would make a new Leisure Suit Larry game that becomes LSLIV. Because that's an opening that's just waiting to be explored. What happened between Larry and Patti?Datadog wrote:This looks like the third remake of the first game.
I still can't wrap my head around why they keep wanting to go back to Lost Wages. You could easily reboot the series from almost any other entry. I'd rather play a spy-oriented LSL2 remake, or anything set in the tropics. Or they could start a new series in a different city like Paris or Venice. Or bring back Patti even? Right now, all I see is a screenshot of Lefty's Bar and I suddenly know what we're in for again. Hopefully I'm wrong, but the last 20 years hasn't been good to Larry.

Well, it's bound to offend a lot of people... regardless, really. People today have extremes when it comes to points of view. Especially on the internet, where they can be as ...Datadog wrote:One of the developers has been speaking up about it in this twitter thread.
It sounds like they're aware of Larry inherent problems, but instead of create a "Social Justice Larry", they want to create a world that reacts to Larry's sexism.
Again, I feel like this is a very hard line to walk and still keep it fun. It's good that they're setting personal boundaries, but I've seen games try to take the high road before and still end up inappropriately offensive. I'll be pleasantly surprised and eat crow if they can pull it off. I admire that they're up for the challenge.
And thank you - added his tweets to the LSL page.Datadog wrote:One of the developers has been speaking up about it in this twitter thread.

I remember seeing that picture!![]()
At the time, I remember thinking "Gee, that's clever!" But, of course, I had no idea who it was.
I think it's a homage to the original.Rath Darkblade wrote:Interesting. I wonder why they updated the graphics for everything except the picture over Lefty's bar?
