Designing a Leisure Suit Larry Spinoff -

Just because I think these threads are fun for discussion -
If you were tapped as someone who had to make a Leisure Suit Larry spin off - using one of the existing characters that isn't a main character (so in this case, excluding Larry or even Patti) - who would you make it about?
Essentially it'd be a way to create a game to develop and focus on another character, other than the main character(s).
So if you couldn't think of a game idea, who (aside from the main character(s)) do you wish you knew more about?
I feel like this might be a fun chance to focus on some of Larry's "conquests."

Hmm... we don't know anything too definite about any of Larry's "conquests", barring the fairly obvious - Shanara (from LSL6) was a successful business executive who chucked it all away for philosophy and LURVE (:P), LSL7's Captain Thygh is a ship's captain
who wants to captain an oil tanker... Eve (from LSL1) is... mysterious.
(Code for
"Eve is simply there to be given an apple").
As for the Latex Lover from LSL1................ the less said, the better.
None of them are incredibly memorable, and I guess that's the point. If they were memorable, they'd break Larry's heart when they dump him. But they're not, so they don't.

Aren't you the least bit curious why Eve had a blow up doll of a female?

Hmm, I always thought that the blow-up doll was left there by someone else (because when
the LL blows away, and Larry shouts "So long, baby!" ...which is, actually, one of the funniest and most bizarre lines in all of the LSL games), Eve doesn't protest. ("Hey! Whattayou think you're doin' with my doll, buttface?")
I never thought that Eve owned the doll - but I guess it makes sense. When
Eve dumps Larry at the beginning of LSL2, she calls him a "jerk" for wanting to move in with her. So my guess is that perhaps Eve is
bisexual, and at the time of her encounter with Larry, she was only looking to be FWB with him. So the fact of his moving in freaked her out.
(I also note that,
despite the fact that Larry doesn't use protection when he "does the dirty" with Eve, Kalalau, Patti et al. - and neither do they, insofar as we know - none of Larry's *ahem* "paramours" *ahem* seem to be pregnant at the start of the next game. Did Al miss something? Or did I? Or was it simply not enough time in between games for the baby bump to start showing?)
I can just imagine the next game -
Leisure Suit Larry 8: Diaper Changes and Midnight Feedings...
(Or maybe
Leisure Suit Larry 8: We Want Our Alimo-mo-mony!...
All of the ladies from Larry's past show up and demand that he pays them to take care of all the little Larrys... And, in true Larry fashion, he goes to a casino and gets the money to pay them, but because he's such a schmuck, he blows it all when he meets yet another pretty young thing!)

Well, that could be a few things...
One, not every sexual encounter leads to pregnancy, even unprotected.
Second, we know Larry is 40 years old, so his little swimmers might not be so strong.
Or, Larry could be firing blanks.
Or some of the women, simply aren't fertile.
Or, there are some Mini Larry's running around that we're unaware of.
Would make for a fun game, that one of these encounters, trying to hunt him down.

I think at the moment the Vigilante political and social climate would make it hard to accept the dirtiness of Larry. Still I think, as much as I dislike the her onesidedness, a Patti centered game where you do some comical undercover work might have some effect. Would need development of the character though, maybe with some music puzzles...
Another one I could think of is "run from the creep". Can you get rid of Larry in an efficient but yet non-violent manner, keeping your Karma meter high and your GrossOut meter as low as possible? Sort of like that Get That Girl game I have on some shareware disk but in reverse. A "friend" is trying to couple you and put you next to a creeper at a dinner party, can you pick the right dialogue to make it unscathed to the end of the meal?
I think Eve might be an escort girl who managed to get rid of the person she's escorting, and the penthouse and all are paid for by her company. Would also explain why she would spend a night in a penthouse alone while she has a perfectly good home.
I doubt the bisexual option simply because those dolls are made to please men, not women. Anatomy thing.

Eve as an escort actually makes a lot of sense, as to why she would sleep with Larry also. She might have believed he was the actual client that was supposed to meet her up there for the night (rather than bypassing the "security guard").
I'd imagine there was an upset individual (man or woman, though I'd assume man in this scenario if she believed Larry was her intended client) who did not get what he paid for when he paid for a night to be with Eve in that penthouse.

Another possibility is that Eve has a significant other who's been cheating on her, and when he doesn't come home, but Larry does (bearing forbidden fruit, no less), she just runs with it, "Desperate Housewives"-style.

But why the jerk attitude in the 2nd one? (I mean Larry was at least mowing her lawn... probably in more ways than one...)

Maybe Eve values her independence too much to be tied down to Larry? (Or tied up
for Larry, depending on her tastes?)
Who knows. Maybe we should ask Eve, or another woman.
Hey Leliana, you're female... right?
