Hero-U... an oversight?

I played some Hero-U yesterday, and came across this - not sure if it was an oversight or not?
When
Shawn wakes up to chase after the Kwirk, we can see an alarm clock on his bedside table...
But when he gets out of bed, the alarm clock is gone!
What happened? I doubt Shawn would steal the alarm clock...

When my phone alarm goes off, I typically take it with me when I leave the room. Maybe Shaun just carries the alarm clock in his secret inventory. It would explain why he always knows when it's exactly 3am every night.

Or, one of the other "failed bards" took his clock.

Maybe I shouldn't take this too literally. If we were to take this game literally, there would need to be a scene where Shawn changes out of his pajamas into his normal clothes. Instead, he magically has his normal clothes on - I wish it was that easy in real life!
So yeah, OK - willing suspension of disbelief and all that...

Or maybe the Qwirk steals it every day.

Yeah, okay. I can imagine that, too. Let's set the scene...
*late night; Shawn is deeply asleep. Kwirk is tiptoeing around the castle*
Kwirk: *to himself* Is he asleep? Oh yeah... I'm gonna steal his alarm clock! I'll be the best Finder there ever was! All the other Kwirks will promote me to King Kwirk for this!!
Shawn: *turns over in his sleep* Wstzl sfhl?
Kwirk: Gah!! Panic panic panic!!! *runs away; Shawn wakes up*
Shawn: Oh, man ... can't even get a good night's sleep. *gets up and chases after the Kwirk*
And that's the real reason why you have to chase after the Kwirk when things start to disappear around the castle.

It's likely a mistake. Most gamers aren't as observant as you, Rath, so I doubt many actually noticed.
