Thanks! The fireworks I obviously snaked. Then used the AGI editor to get a screenshot of the Blow Up Doll and moved it across the frames (not very smooth, I might add)

This is perhaps the best idea I've ever heard.

I just can't part with mine.

I mean.

You know, if I had one.

They're uh expensive.

Not that I have checked...

Yeah - the losing weight seems to always be on everyone's list.

I am trying to eat more healthy this year; less meat, more... greens.

My New Year's Resolutions?

1. Stop being bound by the past. (Grrr, stupid former boss - sometimes I'd like to ... er ... give him a choc-chip cookie. Yeah!) *polishes halo, whistles, taps foot innocently* :)

2. Pay absolutely no attention to sports on the news. (Wait, I do that anyway. Never mind ...)

3. Stop hesitating, do my research on indie vs trad publishing, and make up my mind to publish something. (And charge something for it rather than give it away for free. I've spent far too long researching and writing the damn thing, not to mention the costs in panadol and coffee. If you want a fair deal, then please pay me a fair price. I don't think that's too much to ask for, is it?)

4. Stop reading trashy history books just because they're on sale for $19.95. (Sigh ... I'll probably break that one, just 'cos they look so shiny ...)

5. Stop paying attention to shiny things, like new books or IT gadgets. What am I, a magpie? (But but but ... the shinies!!! No! We discussed this yesterday! We're not gonna pay ... any ... ooh, shiny ...) ;)

What kind of shiny, trashy history books are we talking about here?

Happy New Year, everyone!!

Blake and I went skiing on NYE at the mountain north of town. Since I've skied for yeeeeears, I decided to try snowboarding for the second time ever and felt pretty comfortable riding down squares by the end of the day. No concussions so that's great! :D We got home and shoveled 8" of snow that fell that day and we both were in bed by 9:30 haha.

New Year's Day, as sore as my whole body was from boarding and shoveling snow from the day before, I decided to shovel *another* 8" that fell overnight because I'm not that bright sometimes. :P And now my body is cursing at me and forcing me to stay on this couch with this electric blanket and not move and strike against the next snowfall. But honestly, I needed the workout. :D *flexes bicep*

For resolutions, I am getting involved in some kind of environmental policy or sustainable awareness. I don't know how I'll do it yet, either through a job or volunteering, but that is my main goal of 2019.

I've been collecting herbs and such and making them into things. My other goal is starting an etsy shop to sell my herbal crafts like balms, salves, body butters, tinctures, infused oils and perhaps some other random nature crafts that fall in the same vein.

And lastly, my travel goals are to see Hawaii and swim with the dolphins and visit Egypt in the near future. :)

I used the term "trashy" only because of the price. :)

I'm mainly referring to popular history books by US author Bill Fawcett - "How To Lose A Battle", "How To Lose A War", "How To Lose The Civil War", "Trust Me, I Know What I'm Doing", and so on. Don't get me wrong - they're informative and enjoyable if you're a general reader or an amateur historian, but I've read far more complex history books and enjoyed them more. Bill's books are just a tad bit too simple for me. :)

If I'm looking for good history books by US historians, then I much prefer Alan Axelrod, Victor Davis Hanson, Robert Cowley, or Byron Hollinshead. :)

Do you have any favourite authors or books, SHP?

Aw man that would be amazing!! I would love to get y'alls advice when that time comes!! Saving my pennies!

And yes, I would love the extra advertising! :D Still thinking of a name for my shop... like Earth and Om because Om is the vibration of the earth and a play on "home" because our earth is our home, because I plan on creating crafts too for the home and decor. ^_^ Still gathering ideas...

Why not play off of your name? Like we always do with your Birthday thread?

The Jules of Earth? (Jewels of Earth) type of thing. :)
