How I didn't have a thread for this already is beyond me...
But figured I might as well post one now...
Apparently the Tolkien Estate is not a part of the Tolkien movie coming out...
Which, I figured with as a tight of a hold as they have on all things Tolkien, that they were...

I, too, am confused by Colector's comment. I have no idea what "Tolkien moving" means.
The trailer looks pretty meaningless. "It's about adventure... it's about love... it's about fellowship." Gee, how deep. Almost any adventure story features some kind of fellowship (just think of any D&D parties, or almost any adventure written ever) and some kind of love - unrequited, lustful, platonic - whatever.
If that's what FOX has to offer, I am not impressed.

Because in the body I had typed "Tolkien moving" rather than "Tolkien Movie" - so after he pointed it out, I went into my post and fixed my typo. That's why I was being silly about, "Whatever do you mean?
"

Yeah... but it's Tolkien. I will go see it. Just because it's about him.

I would also like to see it, if it becomes available in Australia. Not sure if it will, though.

Why wouldn't it make it to Australia?

Financing? Plus the Aussie Film Classification Board mightn't like it. I'm just conjecturing here.
