Howdy y'all,

CWG2 is a game from my childhood I'd like to get working again but can't seem to make it happen. First, I followed the instruction in this video:



But, despite that, I still get a prompt asking me to insert the CD. So something has gone wrong with the "no CD required" patch. I'm hardly a tech guy and I have no idea what to do next. A little help please?

My computer is running Windows 10 Home on a 64 bit system. Let me know if any more info is relevant.

Can not say I've played CWG2 before. The site where the original files are downloaded (Civil Wars Generals 2 site) - doesn't look like a legit site. So they're probably cracked/hacked versions of the software. I'd otherwise try it - though, I'd also be leery about downloading random .DLL files from a site too.
