Sorry I haven't been around - but...

...I tried working this out with Tawm's help (thanks Tawm! ) but no dice.
I'm currently house-sitting at my parents' place and using my dad's computer. The only thing different from my home computer (I think) is that he's using BitDefender. And that may be the sticking issue.
The first time I tried logging into this board from his computer, I got a warning from BitDefender that this board wasn't on the https:// ... er... "spectrum", I suppose. I ignored this, because:
a) That's never stopped me from logging in before (at least on my home computer); and
b) It doesn't matter to me, anyway.
But when I logged in and tried posting here, I had no end of issues. Basically, what happens is this:
1. I log in.
2. I click on a sub-forum (e.g. Misc. Chatter) or a post (any post).
3. The forum immediately logs me off!
4. I log in again and read the post or the forum, and try to reply or make a post of my own.
5. The forum, again, logs me off.
Rinse, repeat, etc. etc.
As you might imagine, this is very annoying. Any ideas what I can do?
(By the way, I'm posting this from home - I just dropped in to drop off a few things - but I have to go back there and house-sit).
