Anyone else watch this show?

I feel like, considering it centers around geeky guys and girls - it'd be a hit.

But it finally came to an end, which I really enjoyed. Thought they did that perfectly with Sheldon.

I was watching for a while with my wife but...I didn't really enjoy it. I thought I would but it just seems to me like a lazy attempt to translate geekdom to normies. Which, I guess it was successful. But it's not what I like about geekdom at all.

Friends was better.

Not just references, but Star Trek actors as well. Brent Spiner, Brian George, George Takei, Leonard Nimoy, LeVar Burton, Mark Harelik, Wil Wheaton and William Shatner.

Yeah I saw a lot of those cameos. That was neat. I just didn't think the show was funny.

There's something wrong with you, lad.

I kid. So, ironically enough my best friend and his wife were really into the show when it first aired. I had caught a few off and on, and I didn't feel it. So when Season 2 started, the wife and I got Season 1 and watched it from start to end - and that's when we were both hooked, and watched it faithfully to the end after that.

But you're not alone in the "geek culture" who didn't enjoy the show. Everyone's different.

I never got into Big Bang Theory, sorry. It was just not my cup of tea. *shrug*

As I said above, it's not for everyone. Everyone's different.

I thought they did a good job with the 4 main guys, being very different in their personalities, yet sharing a common interest.
The introduction of Penny, and how geeky guys react to it, was great.
Then eventually adding Bernadette and Amy, for two of the others, while Raj continued to struggle with girls, was also nice.

And the final episode... was... so good. (For those that enjoy it)
Sheldon's speech... was <3 felt.
