... are really getting me down. Now they've started to advertise in the middle of a video (even in the middle of a word). GRRR.
Is there a way to avoid them? I know I can use an adblocker, but which one would you recommend?
I'm using Firefox 69.0.1 (i.e. the latest version). Thanks

Adblock Plus is what I use.
I don't know if it blocks Youtube ads, however.

I watch most of my videos through DuckDuckGo now. How it works:
Visit DuckDuckGo.com
Do a search and click videos.
Click the image, not the video title, to view it in DuckDuckGo's shell.
Another is
http://www.viewpure.com/
You can type the YT URL in there to view it, or drag the "purify button" to your favourites bar (make sure you have Javascript enabled though) and click on it when watching a YT vid.

Thank you! I've given ABP a shot, and it works perfectly.
I don't so much mind an advertisement before or after a video (after all, the sponsors have to make a few pennies somehow). But when I'm watching a TED Talk or a lecture, and an ad pops up in the middle of a sentence, it's very annoying.
Oh, well. Thanks again!
