TCB and the Pixel Perfect Patch

Feeling like this game could be murder... literally? Well, come on in here for some extra detective work (and clues/hints/etc!) for the Laura Bow games (The Colonel's Bequest and The Dagger of Amon Ra).

TCB and the Pixel Perfect Patch

Post by Collector »

I know that it has been brought up here before, but I was just checking with a more recent build and did a screen capture via Windows rather than the DOSBox builtin capture to show the effect of the patch. Note that this is in a window, not full screen. This is the way that the best EGA graphics game was meant to be seen. You can see the glow of the heat lightning in the upper left-hand corner. All of the pretty pixels all nice and even.

I never even noticed the lightning before?
Or don't remember it.
In the preview - it looks squished (especially the statue) - well not "squished" as in blurred - but skinny - and even opening it - it looks thin. The pixels are all very clear though, as you said.
(Such a beautiful game...)
