... that music that plays when the hero sets out in the caravan in QfG2 is the theme music from the 1962 movie, "Lawrence of Arabia". Observe:

Hrm. I don't think they sound alike. The QfG theme has a much slower beat to it, where as the Lawrence of Arabia has a quick, fast, tempo to it.
At least the beginnings of each song - granted, didn't listen to both all the way.

Sure, the QfG "caravan theme" is slow. But when the "Lawrence of Arabia" theme starts, it's not fast either.
Compare the QfG theme from 0:29 onward to the "Lawrence" theme from 0:39 onward, when they start sounding very much the same. At that point, the Lawrence theme isn't fast at all. It's calm, sedate, majestic - very much like the QfG theme, just with more instruments.
