This took some editing - it's a shot of both sides of the castle, but fit to screen so I wouldn't have to do a ton of editing. Cleaned up some when I put them side by side.
And the second one just has the KQ banner that came with this old school one seen in the intro.

.... and then Graham takes a step forward, falls in the moat, and gets eaten by the crocs. (At least, that's what happened the first time I played this thing - I did it on purpose, just to see the funny death message).

By the way, are they supposed to be so similar? *curious* The second one is exactly the same as the first one, except it has a "King's Quest" banner.

Yup! So what I have been doing - because I am bored - is using title screens to create wallpapers. But the original KQ1 just has the scroll with the banner at the top. Not much to look at.

So I took the two side by side castle shots; made it into one to fit a standard 1920x1080 wallpaper.

That was the first one.

Then to stay true, I took the KQ banner - and layered it over the castle shot.
